The Swiss Vitamin Institute’s seal of approval program is a quality control program offered by the SVI to companies to certify either the vitamin content or stability of specific products (ranging from food, vitamin supplements, pharmaceuticals to cosmetics) or vitamin analytical methods. It is approved by the SVI Board Members only for high-quality products.
Our seal ensures that the product’s vitamin content was reviewed, analysed and confirmed by an independent official Swiss accredited control laboratory using the highest standard of quality control for vitamins.
The SVI seal of approval can be marketed by the companies on packaging and website as well as advertisement media.

Genuine SVI certification can be verified either directly on a search button on the SVI website or through QR codes on products packaging with a smartphone-readable secure QR code printed that will link shoppers to the SVI website for more information – shoppers will be able to access the status of the product certification and engage with either SVI through a feedback button or the product provider directly.
.
Send the SVI a message describing your product(s) and quality control requirements. The SVI will get back to you quickly with a proposal.
Any company can apply to get the SVI seal of approval for its vitamin product(s). The certification of the product’s vitamin content is not the sole decision criterion to grant the SVI seal of approval. Other aspects such as health claims in line with human and animal health or nutrition as well as acceptable cosmetic products claims are also considered.
The Foundation board evaluates the request and provides the SVI director with their recommendation.
In case of approval, the SVI conducts the vitamin analytical testing with a product sample.
Report and decision to grant the seal is discussed with the customer who is provided with an agreement project.
The seal is awarded for one year and renewed every year based on regular vitamin analyses by the SVI.
